Do you guys ever have old camera gear fro sale? If not it might be a really good idea to have a classified section or something for photographers and videographers to sell their stuff.

I’m a 17 year old avid reader of Focus. Its really really really hard for me to get to the shop in time to get your magazine. But the ones that I have gotten I really really like. A lot of people around me here in NYC are really good and I have seen them at the park and on the street. Such people as Danny Falla and Ron Deily. I really like seeing those guys in the magazine and then on the street. Anyway i don’t really have any money and i dont think I could get my parents credit card so how can I get you guys to send me a subscription. Would some pictures of my 22 year old sister work ha ha ha. I am told she’s quite cute.

To 40 or not to 40

My friends seem to think I have a problem but i reallllllly dont seem to see what the big deal is. when ever we do our late night sessions i always bring a 40 or two with me on the sesh. Honestlyy I feel as though I skate better when i drink a little. My friends on the other hand think i get a litle too nuts and am going to kill myself jumping down some retard amount of staris or something. whatta you guys think?

Well, I don’t wanna say that we promote drinking while skating but I’ve personally known some well-known skaters and other people that do many things better when they’ve had a few. As long as you’re not getting blackout drunk and causing problems on the sesh, I’d say to just keep going with whatever is working. I mean, are you getting solid footage? If you’re landing sloppy tricks cause of it, then you might want to rethink your approch.

I was wondering if you could help me out. I have this roommate who recently started dating this chick and within a month she seems to have moved in. She’s fat and doesn’t do shit and complains about everything. Bitch, you don’t pay rent or anything, shut up. She’s sloppy and hell looking and is just really annoying. I’ve tried to be nice to my roommate about her being here so much and he is just too nice to really do anything about it. This girl has him by the ballz and is sorta a gold digger, even though he doesn’t really have much gold to dig for.

I’ve actually had the same problem… well, sorta, except my roommate had his friend over all the time. This kid was a complete douche bag. He would leave shit all over the place, never washed dishes, never did shit except lay on the couch all day smoking dirt-ass weed. I tried to be nice about it, as well, for a while ’cause I partly felt bad for the dude, since his girl peace’d out on him and their business they had going and took everything. I mean, this girl took all the money from the business account and there wasn’t much he could do about it. Anyway, I eventually got over it and just started fucking with the dudes stuff. Too make a long story short he moved out when he opened up his bag in rage one day when I put a can of sardines in it, that baked in our overly hot house. That was the straw that broke the camels back, but prior to that, I had fucked with a lot more and no one ever gave up who it was, so he was over it. You said she’s a sloppy fatty right, maybe take the filling outta her twinkies and fill them with mustard or something. That’s a start.

Magazines don’t really sponsor people but we can send you some stickers to show that you support the best East Coast Skate Mag, which of course will help out with getting future sponsors. Your best bet is to make a sponsor-me tape of yourself and maybe bring it to your local shop to check out. If they see something in you, then maybe they can help you pick up some other local sponsors to start.
