(Words by Stephen Oliveira)
So who are you and where are you from?
My name’s Matt Oistacher, I’m 18 years old and I live in Jacksonville, Fl (the dirtiest of the dirty).
Well damn, I wouldn’t say Jacksonville’s the dirtiest of the dirty, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t. What’s the skate scene like up there?
The scene’s pretty good. We’re all trying to hold it down up here for sure. We’ve got a lot of up and comers. It’s definitely a fun scene to be a part of.
Jacksonville’s definitely pushing out some heavy underground talent. Rumor is that a lot of that talent is going to be featured in your upcoming video, Criteria For Failure. What’s all that about?
Yeah, Criteria For Failure is a video I’ve been working on for about a year now. It’s Featuring full parts from Jake Sykes, Jake Hallock, Jonathan Hadley, Nick Blanco, Craig Clements, Spencer Lau and Paul Hart, as well as many other homies from around Jacksonville. It’s dropping around summer of 2011, and I assure you we aren’t going to disappoint!
With a years worth of progress under your belt, are there any stories from the road worth sharing? Keep this shit G-Rated, there’s kids on here!
Haha, Skateperception’s King of the Road was a fun one… Throwing water balloons at people and stuff. Atlanta was a fun trip too. We definitely held it down on that one.
Atlanta must have been fun, you speeding ticket animal. Racking in those license points.. It must have sucked getting stopped for speeding on I-95, the first day.
Yeah, it was the perfect start to what was sure to be an epic trip. Getting pulled over at 101 mph was definitely better than not making the trip at all. If I had to go back I’d still do it. Definitely worth the bangers.
I can tell by your lens… well, lack of lens now, that some bangers have definitely been going down. Did losing your lens make a big cut in the progress of your video?
No not at all. Luckily for me I have some money saved up that I am going to use to purchase a new one this week. As shitty as it is, I’m glad that it happened while I had the money.
Damn, making that guap! What’s it like being the first Jewish person in the history of Jewish people to work at the YMCA?
Well actually, this lady who was probably 95 or something worked there and she was Jewish. Some slut there was Jewish too. She wasn’t really holding it down for the whole “Good Christian Values” thing that YMCA’s go for…
Haha man, it must be stressful hanging out with 95 year old women and playing Wii all day. Are you still in school?
Well luckily I don’t work at the YMCA anymore, but yeah I’m still attending school. I’m in my first year at the University of North Florida.
What are you majoring in?
Business Management. I plan to take over the world.
That is, if the world doesn’t get taken over in 2012. But that’s a topic for a whole different time. Do you have any last words? Are there any scandalous young women or homies you’d like to thank?
Well I don’t want to get into talking about my females, but there’s a bunch of homies. I’d like to thank Nick Blanco, Paul Hart, Jake Sykes, Jake Hallock, Craaaaaig Clements, Jon Hadley, Colby Weeks, Spencer Lau, Mark Brown, all the real Vatos supporting C4F and of course you, (Stephen Oliveira) for hooking it up with the interview! New promo coming soon!
